Hartley sits about 127 km west of Sydney, 12 km south of Lithgow and 10 km west of Mount Victoria, below the western escarpment of the Blue Mountains in the City of Lithgow. The drive is a straightforward run up the Great Western Highway — no winding back roads at the end.
